I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at The Open University (Milton Keynes, England) in Aug 2024
Interview
Had to complete 3 tasks before the interview (plan a 10 minute tutorial, answer some questions related to the subject discipline, and mark a sample of student work). On first view, the tasks looked very lengthy given there was less than a week's notice, but actually they were relatively straight forward for me since I had experience in all those aspects. The interview lasted about 75 minutes including delivering the tutorial. It was a relaxed environment where I was encouraged to ask questions throughout the process.

Interview
I prepared a tutorial and sent the plan and powerpoint in advance. During the interview they asked me general questions and then I went through my plan with them. The next day I was given the good news that I was made 'appointable'. However, they did not get back in touch with me despite me emailing to ask for a status update. I am assuming not enough students signed up for the course and they did not need me.
