I interviewed and things were great!!! I had a chance to tour the school, meet some of the students, I actually engaged with some and was able to ask about their work and classes. I met some of the staff and was able to see them engaging with the students. I interviewed for a position at one particular school, in which I loved, and that was very close to my house. I was mentally prepared for that location because that was the location I applied for. However, I received a called stating that someone else took that location and I could interview at their other school which was about an hour away ( on a good day). I did go to the interview, and again, the staff was AWESOME! They all made me feel so comfortable, it felt more like a conversation rather than drilling interview questions. After the interview I was offered the position. However, I wasn’t able to accept the position, due to the location and at the time I had a personal situation that would have prevented me from making the commute. Overall, the people I met were awesome and it appeared they actually cared and was passionate about their work and the students. This is something I take to heart and love about working with students.
