      Mortgage Advisor Interview

      Application

The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at The Loans Engine (Watford, East of England, England) in May 2019

      Interview

I had a 20 mins phone interview by the CEO. I was then called to have a face to face interview On arrival I was asked to do a waste of space embarrassing quiz. The CEO and one of his team leaders then took my interview The interview lasted 1hr 30 mins , it was competency based and full of questions of previous and current scenarios . A lot of it was what would you do if... basically what would you do if you ran out of toilet paper in a public loo etc .... The team leader was a nice guy very dynamic and experienced and showed genuine interest and progressions. I think he was silenced by the wrath of the CEO The CEO was busy thinking whether he should pay you £1000 or £2000 annual salary for a 40hr week. The interview itself wasn’t too challenging, the attitude and smugness of the CEO was a little amusing. After interview was finished I was shown out , however I didn’t receive a response for 8 days I then contacted then and I have a feeble response about how he couldn’t pay the salary I desired ? I didn’t desire anything above what they advertised 🤣 he expected a qualified and experienced advisor to accept 22k ? Even through he knows I’m coming from. 34k position 🤦🏻‍♂️ Just for the record the advertised salary was 27k - 36.5k I would suggest not to waste time of potential candidates and if you wish to pay peanuts then expect monkeys to work for you. I’m so glad I went to this interview it made me understand and accept what company I didn’t want to work and waste my time with Potential candidates don’t bother it’s a waste of time
