Interviewees had to conduct a lesson demonstration based on a specific lesson cycle with the Heads (and a HR) . This was also followed by a written test and a spoken interview.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at The Learning Lab (Singapore) in Aug 2016
Interview
1. Phone screening
2. Face to face Interview (with grammar/editing test)
3. Observation class followed by co-teaching lesson
While the HR personnel were professional, the entire hiring process was very undesirable. After indicating the level of the students that you are comfortable teaching, and after 3 months (September to November) of the interviewing process, the HR called to inform that they do not have enough students at the moment and that they will call me up again to update me. This is a complete waste of time frankly. I had to observe another tutor teach for 2 hours and I had to co-teach a lesson for about 30 -45 mins or so and honestly, the HR could have just told me in the beginning that they did not have enough students rather than wasting people's time like this.

Interview
1. I met HR for a first face-to-face interview after they had shortlisted me.
2. The interview was followed by my observing an existing TLL teacher in an actual student session, followed the subsequent week by my conducting a demo session with students (about 20-25 min of an existing class).
3. A second interview followed, in which specific details regarding hours taught, remuneration, days off and such were ironed out.
