I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Blaine, MN) in Feb 2011
Interview
I received an email stating that I would be receiving a call shortly to be asked some questions. I called the number they emailed me and gave the confirmation number. They asked lots of basic interview questions. It seemed very unprofessional to me, the guy interviewing me kept saying um and it was obvious he was reading straight out of a book, it was very monotone and even lost his place at one point. I wasn't too impressed. I answered the questions to the best of my knowledge. A lot of the questions were scenario questions asking to tell about a time a certain scenario occurred and how I handled the situation. I didn't think I did too well on the phone interview, but a couple weeks after the phone interview I got a call asking to set up a time for an in-person interview, so I am going in for an interview this week.

Question 1
Describe a time a customer was angry and how you handled it?
just a conversation with the HR team, asked the basic questions and nothing to stressful. they made the process very easy and the interview was actually truely with only one single person
5 minutes not even an interview just acceptance. I walked in and they said when can you start and if I can submit to a drug test and background check I said yes and left.

Interview
The interview process was a friendly and professional experience overall. The managers are nice and accommodating to students at least at this location as I was a current student at Oregon state university and needed to work around a college schedule.
