I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Sugar Land, TX) in Jun 2009
Interview
They called me and asked me what time I was available to come in, picking 1 out of two days. The lady who interview me was nice and too the point. These are the questions she asked me:
-Have you ever shopped at Home Depot before?
-Why would you like to work here?
-Tell me about a time when you had to sell your idea
-Have you had any cash handling experience?
-How do you get along with others/make acquaintances?
Was probably more, but these were the main ones I remembered.
She also created a scenario where she pretended to be the customer and I was the employee. As the customer she walked through to door, but the security machine alarmed and she wanted to have the item for free because she was waiting in line for so long.
just a conversation with the HR team, asked the basic questions and nothing to stressful. they made the process very easy and the interview was actually truely with only one single person
5 minutes not even an interview just acceptance. I walked in and they said when can you start and if I can submit to a drug test and background check I said yes and left.
I applied online. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Corvallis, OR)
Interview
The interview process was a friendly and professional experience overall. The managers are nice and accommodating to students at least at this location as I was a current student at Oregon state university and needed to work around a college schedule.
