The recruiter first reached out to me via email after applying, to ask if I was still interested in the job and if so, pick from a “time below” to schedule interview (generic email). Well, there were no times so I emailed back and replied I’d love to interview, however, no times were sent. Recruiter eventually emailed me back, asking me FIRST to answer 4 questions, to which I replied (wanted to know if I had private office with high speed internet, if I am an RN residing in same state, if I could start by such and such date, and could I work between the hours of such and such). I replied back and then a few days later received an email saying the pay would be $31 with such and such benefits, PTO, etc and asked if the “package” would work for me. I very politely and professionally replied I’d still love to interview, but that the pay would be a big pay cut to my already remote role and that I would like to discuss pay more/negotiate during interview. I never received a reply but when I logged in a few days later to check “status” it said “withdrawn”…. So he withdrew my application. I have since read that Cigna does not negotiate. The whole process put a bad taste in my mouth and I have not applied to anymore through Cigna.
The recruiter is representing the company. He took days to respond to emails (from first email requesting interview to last email was 9 days) and then didn’t have the courtesy to send a “generic email” explaining non-negotiable. And I’m sorry, but $31 flat rate is ridiculous.
