There was one interview round where the recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn. There was great communication up until the interview. He ghosted me right after and then reposted the position. Complete waste of time. It’s as if the companies are data fishing

Interview
A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn for a VP, Data Governance role. I scheduled an interview and it went well. The recruiter told me we would move forward with next steps within about a week. After not hearing anything for 10 days, I followed up with an email, but got no response. 3 weeks since the initial screening, I’ve determined that I have been ghosted.
Why reach out to me just to ghost me? It makes the organization look bad for no reason.
