I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at The Capital Grille (Charlotte, NC) in Oct 2021
Interview
Sat down with a manager and talked briefly about work history. Was asked if I would be able to complete the tasks required for the job. Had to come back to meet the GM and he basically asked the same questions. Appearance matters a lot. It’s a fine dining restaurant so try to look very professional.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Capital Grille (Columbus, OH) in May 2024
Interview
It was a mass interview, kind of like a machine, so don't get overwhelmed if it feels like you are walking into something grand. Dress to impress. After working at the job for a while, my employers said that dressing in a suit really added to their perception of me before even speaking to me. I was first met at a check-in, then taken back to a table with the lead of the team I was applying for: the host lead. Once the host lead determined she liked me, she sent over the managing partner. At this location, I applied for the opening of the restaurant, so I was offered the job on the spot. I am unsure if the managers offer a job on the spot in a typical interview.
