It was a phone interview with their hiring person based out of Chicago. There was the problem of a language barrier between us. I was on a landline phone, not sure if they were on a cell. I had to ask her to repeat things often bc she spoke quickly with what sounded like an accent from an East European country and not a language I have ever studied. Because of that, and how she would Jump topics seeming to “think out loud” still talking fast I feel I missed about 65-75% of what she was offering by telling me about the position, the insurance company I would need to apply for providershipbwith. There were 3 families in need of therapists so she jumped more toward “end of interview “ questions often, like how many cases I can take, can I start this week? Things like that. I didn’t have the clarity I needed on what I was exactly needed for and how many time s week till asking a lot of questions. She asked if I have my NPI number which I do. She said thats good, she didn’t ask any info I would think too personal. The main problem was for me Jumping topics, talking fast, seeming to plan my cases while I was still trying to figure out the hours with each case, would I have a clinical team like beg techs
Or just me? They do pay well, 50.00/hour. They will pay mileage which she said is negotiable (rather than a set rate for the company. I felt uneasy. Then I decided to email my questions to the office manager hopeful to get more logistics questions offered hopefully with better English. I left a VM and Emsil. The office manager emailed me back and said the position was filled by someone else (even though she was pushing me very very hard to commit to a start date? Hum.
