I applied to this job through the Business of Fashion website and got a really prompt response. Shortly after that I had a sit-down interview with the head of the department and I was thrilled! She gave a great interview, was super friendly, and left me feeling really optimistic and excited about the position. I was told they wanted to have me in for a second interview and to meet the team in a few weeks. I couldn’t wait. We emailed back and forth about possible dates and timelines for a week or two. Then I never heard back. Completely ghosted with no warning. My first interview was in April and I haven’t been contacted since then. I thought maybe the position had been filled and I wasn’t told, but the opening is still up. If I wasn’t the right candidate, then I feel like someone should have told me so? This struck me as so rude and demoralizing that I haven’t bothered emailing back because I don’t want to work for people like that. If you interview here, I just hope you have a better experience than I did.
