The first interview round consisted of a 30-minute initial video call with the hiring manager. Basic HR questions.
The final interview round was supposed to be a technical one with the Test team at Thales who seemed greatly unprepared for the interview. This team rehashed the same hr questions I was asked in the first round. At no point did they ask any technical questions to gauge my knowledge of engineering or testing fundamentals even though this was said to be a technical round. The interviewers seemed unenthusiastic, unengaged, and passive, leaving me, the interviewee, to take charge of the meeting at times.
Finally, they ignored interview follow-up emails and ghosted for a month before canceling the position altogether. Thales' Burnaby branch seems fairly disorganized and the work environment seems unfriendly.
