Very simple telephone interview just making sure you're a real person and asked a few competency questions. Assessment centre was 9am until around 3pm consisting of 2 individual interviews, one competency and one technical, also there were 2 group tasks discussion based. They told us they would reach a decision just over a week after the assessment centre however I received nothing, I emailed them 1 month after the assessment and didn't get a reply. I emailed again after another month had passed and they said they'd let me know in a week (it was 2 weeks). I also didn't receive any feedback on the interviews even though they assured us we would.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
How would you go about designing a vehicle that can neutralise mines at a speed of 40mph.
HR phone interview followed by a full day on site interview which included a one on one with a manager and a group interview with around 5 other candidates. Took around a few weeks for HR to come back with a decision.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Group interview wasn't engineering related, from memory it was to do with promoting an event/product. Mainly to observe how you communicate, work in a team and problem solve. This was then followed by a presentation of the solution.
Consisted of a 15 minute phone screening chat where they asked general questions about my passion for the industry and what relevant skills I had. They also gave advice on the next steps if I was successful.
