This was easily one of the most frustrating and ridiculous interview processes I’ve been through.
The process dragged on far longer than necessary (7 rounds total) which encompassed conversations with a recruiter, hiring manager, chief of staff, a panel with product and support folks, a panel with the hiring manager and COO, another round with the hiring manager, and then the CEO. I was told at one point that I was in the final round, only to find out there were two more meetings I needed to complete. One of them was a “reflection” round, which turned out to be little more than a recap of how well I did in the previous interview since we mostly talked about how great everything supposedly went… only to be rejected afterward, making the experience even more confusing and frustrating.
Some of the interviewers seemed completely robotic, cold and one-sided. This was especially true of the CEO, who seemed thoroughly inconvenienced to be even be talking with me, and the interview felt more like a perfunctory interrogation than a conversation. It was hard to get any real sense of the team or culture.
Communication completely broke down toward the end. After that final “reflection” round, the recruiter disappeared and I went almost a week without any updates. When I finally heard back, I was given vague, contradictory feedback that didn’t align with anything I was told previously or with the role itself.
The whole process felt disorganized and, frankly, disrespectful of candidates’ time. I wouldn’t recommend interviewing here unless the company makes some serious changes to how they run their hiring process.
