I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Tesla (Fremont, CA) in Mar 2022
Interview
The interview process consisted of one phone screen, followed by a 30 minute phone interview. Next, I took a mechanical engineering test that tested basic fundamentals like stress-strain curves, GD&T, etc. Finally, there was a 6 hour panel interview with many managers and engineers.

Question 1
What is the optimal beam cross section to withstand buckling (per mass)? What is the optimal cross section to withstand bending (per mass)?
Horrible experience. It was more of a 1 hour humiliation call than an interview. The man was asking questions non stop and would until he found an area I didn't have a lot of experience (not required or mentioned in the position) and he started asking more about that, even laughed at me.
