I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Terran Orbital (Irvine, CA)
Interview
The process started with a phone screen with a recruiter, followed by one technical interview with a manufacturing engineer and hiring manager. Questions focused on past manufacturing experience, problem solving, and working with hardware. The interview was conversational and straightforward. An offer was made shortly after.

Question 1
Describe a time you solved a manufacturing or production problem.
The interview process was 4 total rounds (1 recruiter, 1 hiring manager, 1 team member, then a final on-site panel interview with 4 rounds). Overall the questions were pretty straightforward regarding systems engineering. I would not say it’s a process you could prepare for super well more so a “you know it or you don’t”. They expect a quick response turnaround upon an offer….so be ready to accept or reject.

Question 1
What are the general subsystems that make up a spacecraft and what is your favorite/least favorite?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Terran Orbital (Irvine, CA) in Nov 2025
Interview
It first starts with an initial phone screening interview. You then interview with hiring manager. After passing you then get a project assigned. No leetcode. If you pass the project you then schedule the final interview in person. They are a bit slow with scheduling though. Moved to final round but someone else received the offer before me because it took forever to schedule the final round.
