I had a 45 minute call with someone who wasn't even a part of the company. I looked at that person's LinkedIn and Terminal49 was not on there and no where to be found.
Towards the end of the call, they let the cat out the bag and let me know they are too early in the process to hire anybody.
The pay was below average and they wanted people in the office 3 days a week.
People who may get hired in the future, please realize. This company doesn't have very many customer's. Be prepared to live off of base salary.
I was advised they are currently only a good fit for SMB but investors are pushing them to sell to enterprise.

Question 1
Did I handle contract renewal as an account executive?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Terminal 49 in Jan 2019
Interview
The hiring process was thorough and thoughtful. It began with a phone conversation with the recruiter to make sure basic requirements were met. There was then a one-sided video interview consisting of three questions, followed by competency testing, two zoom interviews, and a culture fit interview.
Communication throughout the entire process was excellent. I never went for more than 4 days without hearing from them. For such an extensive process, it moved quickly and efficiently.

Question 1
When sales teams analyze a market to identify which companies could be interested in their service/product, they will group companies together that share similar characteristics. As an example, let's assume you’re selling a customer support platform like Zendesk. One grouping could be “small business”, since they are more cost conscious and don’t need as many enhanced features. Another grouping could be “enterprise” (large, corporate customers), who require more features, more white-glove service, etc.
Review the sample data and identify a customer segment (e.g. based on location, size, volume, type of goods, etc.) that you think would be good for our sales team to target.
Describe the customer segment, and explain why you think they would be good to target, considering we are a seed stage startup with less than 10 people in the team.
The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Terminal 49 (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
- Test about SC
- 10 min call to know about you
- SC case study
- phone discussion w/ founders
- on-site interview
That was the process they informed. 2 months after the test, they emailed I was failed. That test included only 5 multiple choice questions which took them 2 months to inform me the result. During those 2 months, none of my emails were replied. Unprofessional recruitment. I believe they have no intention to hire. Job posting may be just for marketing.
