I had a highly disappointing interview experience with Temporal.
My interview process started on 26 August and involved 8 rounds in total. After the first two rounds, there was a long period of complete silence, with no proactive communication or status updates. The process then resumed with five additional rounds, after which I was ultimately rejected.
What was particularly unprofessional was:
• The lack of transparency throughout the process
• Extended gaps with no communication
• A final rejection without any constructive feedback, despite the significant time and effort invested by the candidate
Given the number of rounds and the duration of the process, a basic level of closure or feedback would have been reasonable and respectful.
Candidates invest substantial time preparing for and attending interviews, especially across so many rounds. Clear communication and timely updates would significantly improve the experience.
I hope Temporal improves its candidate experience by being more mindful of communication, timelines, and feedback, particularly for long-running interview processes.
