I applied after seeing the job posting on LinkedIn. A recruiter contacted me quickly for a brief phone screen and a few weeks after I was scheduled to talk to three people. I thought it went well but was told I wouldn't me moving forward. No harm, no foul.
A few weeks later, they call me back saying they would actually like to move me forward. Weird, but okay! I interview with two more people. From these interviews, I get a better understanding of their marketing tech stack (very fragmented, not even a true CRM?!) and the team relationships seem a bit more unhealthy than I had expected (very different personalities from everyone I talked to, not a bad thing of itself, but they all described a different take on the culture and there wasn't a sense of camaraderie between levels). I kind of thought at this point I wouldn't take the job if they offered it, as I really want to be somewhere with a healthy culture, and this didn't seem to be it, and their salary range seemed low for the role, to begin with. But once again, I was told I wouldn't be moving forward, saving me from that decision.
The org seems to be in a weird spot and doesn't know what they really want or need, hence being called back into the interview process. It also seems like the culture isn't super healthy and they don't have a realistic expectation for compensation. Would pass.
