I had an interview for the a Director of Quality position in May of 2018. Sent in my CV over indeed, got an e-mail to set up a Skype interview 2 days later, even though I only live 1 hour away and offered to drive down and meet in person. Interview went very well, folks were quite nice and seemed sharp enough. The VP assured me HR would be back in touch with me (and I quote) "in no less than 72 hours for next steps". Two weeks later, not a peep from anyone at Tata. I did call the HR person 2x and send 2 emails 5 days after the interview asking if they wished to continue with the interview process...no response on any front. Oddly enough, the HR person did not have her name or the company name on either her cell or desk phone, and her e-mail was a blind indeed account. And, to boot, you cannot find a number for Tata in Whiting VT anywhere on the interweb...go figure. I will say this: I don't mind if they don't want to hire me...that's just fine, but have enough common courtesy to at least send me a quick email telling me so. Ghosting potential employees in the interview process is never good business practice. Further, let us not forget that every person your HR dept has contact with during the interview process is not just a potential employee, but also a potential customer – and we talk to other folks about our experiences with your company. Judging from the horrendous reviews Tata's employees continue to leave at this and other jobs sites, I guess my experience with Tata is very representative of the overall culture. If this is the way you treat potential employees, I can only imagine how you treat your employees. Take a step up Tata Harper...its time you shed the trash in your organization and started to rebuild your culture with decent, seasoned professionals.
