I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Tata Consultancy Services in Sept 2011
Interview
The interview Process consisted of three phases -
1) The online aptitude test : The questions in the test were all expected questions apart from 2-3 questions which were not expected, though they were not difficult. To clear this test , go through the previous test patterns and practice those questions thoroughly and you should have no problem clearing the test.
2) The 1:1 Technical Interview : Once you clear the aptitude test , you will be called for the 1:1 technical interview. This interview can be very tough for someone and can be a cake walk for some because it all depends on your luck,if you get a tough interviewer then be prepared to answer questions from north pole to south pole but if you are lucky you may only be having a communication skills test. In all cases, the important thing is how you are saying and not what you are saying, so concentrate more on the presentation of your answers rather than the mere content.
3)The 1:1 Hr Interview : This is the last round. If you get through the technical interview then chances are you will not be rejected. The Hr person asks you couple of questions, more for formality than for anything else. You will be asked if you have any problems with relocation and the package will be disclosed to you.
Tips : Smile and be polite while giving your answers.

Interview
After clearing the TCS National Qualifier Test (NQT), I attended a single interview round that combined technical and HR questions. The interviewer focused on my projects, programming knowledge, and understanding of current technologies. One of the main discussion topics was the difference between traditional software systems and AI-based systems. The interview was conversational, and the interviewer evaluated problem-solving ability, communication skills, and technical understanding. The overall experience was positive and the difficulty level was average.
