I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Winston-Salem, NC) in Dec 2013
Interview
Had to chase them down on the phone for two weeks--was told each of 3 times that they would contact me at/by a specific time, each time came and went without contact. Finally contacted for a phone interview, had to do the same dance to get my face-to-face. Finally made it into the store, met with 3 different people in separate interviews that same day, was offered a "management" position (GSA) instead of the seasonal cashier position I applied for, with ETL positions dangled in front of me as an immediate possibility--the "management" position paid a whopping $8.75 an hour and the ETL positions were just a carrot on a stick. If I hadn't just been laid off, I would have held out for better.

Question 1
Describe a time you experienced conflict in the workplace. How did you handle it?
It was interesting. Not hard at all, straightforward, and pretty open people. It was an okay interview and what you’d typically expect. So don’t stress stress it, I mean kinda try your best
Standard process, STAR method is good to use in interviews like this. Wear nice clothing not too dressed up not too formal and be friendly. Positive environment not super high pressure

I applied online. I interviewed at Target (Miramar, FL) in Jun 2026
Interview
I answered 5 recorded interview questions and 1 Q&A. You get 2-3 mins to answer the 5 questions, and the Q&A has no time limit, it was surprisingly easy to prepare myself for.
