I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Staten Island, NY) in Jun 2012
Interview
I submitted an application but I was turned down. I called back asking for an interview. They gave me one.
There are two interviews: one with a team lead (your direct manager-lower level) and an executive team leader (your main boss). It was a very impersonal and straight forward interview process. Apart from the standard questions (tell me about yourself, what's your greatest weakness, why do you want to work at target etc.) they ask leadership based questions and scenarios (ex. what would you do questions. what would you do when things get busy?) They record word for word what you say. Very simple process.
Pretty simple process. Went in and interviewed with the Team Lead, most questions were behavioral in nature. Ended up just chatting for a bit and I was offered the job on the spot, then was sent to talk to the Supervising Lead who verified a couple aspects of my application.
It was easy. Pretty straightforward. For a team member, I would not expect more which is actually a really good thing. The manager was nice as well and made the process easy.
I applied online. I interviewed at Target (San Bruno, CA)
Interview
Phone interview, and orientation right after. Not much else at the time. Scheduled for orientation with a few other people. After orientation, a drug screening scheduled, and was called back about a week or so afterwards to start work.
