      Sourcing Interview

      15 Mar 2012
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Minneapolis, MN
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Minneapolis, MN) in Oct 2011

      Interview

I received the interview due to knowing many people that work at Target Corporate. I received an e-mail from a recruitar saying he would like to schedule a phone interview. Once scheduled, I asked employees of Target corporate what questions would be asked during the phone interview and prepared myself. I was told that Target really likes to hear about themselves and how "amazing" they are, ask a question regarding something current with Target (Missoni Target was coming out and I asked a question about that), also look at their website and check out their mission statement and their values. After recieving the tips from employees I made an outline of the questions they would ask so when the phone interview occured I would be ready and not stumble over answering questions. The phone interview was pretty quick, about 20 minutes and he said he would be contacting me within a week. After the phone interview I sent a handwritten Thank You note and sent it. After not hearing back after 7 days I contacted the recruiter to see where I was at in the interview process. I never received a reply from them and figured I didn't meet their mold. I was really upset that I never received a reply from Target, because we all know it dosn't take long to send a e-mail or make a phone call.
