I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TangoCode (Chicago, IL) in Oct 2016
Interview
The interview process was four steps:
1. After I applied online, they sent me a small algorithmic coding challenge with three questions that served as a screen for the initial phone screen. This coding challenge was not too difficult. I guess it really just served as an insight into my thought-process.
2. The phone screen was a Google Hangout that lasted 30 minutes.
3. I was then asked to come in for an in-person interview. I talked to 4 different people individually for about 30 minutes each. Two people were asking culture-fit questions and the other two asked technical questions.
4. I was then asked to do the major coding challenge. This part was the toughest but they at least gave me a week to do about 3-4 days worth of work (if you're not too familiar with React). It was more of a front-end challenge.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TangoCode (Chicago, IL) in Dec 2016
Interview
It was the best interview process that I've had. All the employees were very friendly, and they gave me time to answer every question and helped me if I had doubts. I had to complete two challenges during the process, one before getting the onsite interview, and another after which was a better challenge.
