I had two phone screens with Craig the owner of the company over the span of two months. He then invited me in for an interview and said it was time to meet with the team, talk salary requirements, and complete a presentation and then present to the team during the in-person interview. He provided a prompt and wanted me to plan an event for a client. I met with a team of 4 people and then presented my PowerPoint presentation. At the end of the interview, he told me it would be at least 2 months until they would need someone and even then he had to figure out if he really had a need to bring on another team member. The interview lasted 2+ hours and I traveled out of state for this interview. I never heard back from Craig until 2 months later, checking in to see if I was still looking for a job. I told him not to contact me unless he was able to make me an offer. 2 months later another member of his team reached out to see if I was still looking... saying that timing still wasn't right on their end but wanted to keep me as an option just in case they needed help in the near future. A complete waste of time, the sad part is there was never an open job and Craig still months later thinks he can leave me hanging as a candidate. Very unprofessional, I suggest not wasting time interviewing at this company.
