I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Talentporte (Saint Louis, MO) in Jan 2017
Interview
Talked with the recruiter over the phone for about 15 minutes and scheduled a meeting to meet her. About a week later, I was interviewing with their client. I was 1 of 3 interviewing and it took about another week for the offer.

It was a 3 step process.

Question 1
Why I felt I was a unique technical recruiter and why I was specifically interested in Talentporte.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Talentporte (Saint Louis, MO)
Interview
Process involved phone interview and multiple face-to-face interviews. Received excellent reports from interviews, indication that everything on target and that offer was being prepared. Something failed between Talenporte and client rendering the pending contract dead - no negotiation, little plausible explanations. Some of this is par for the course for staffing firms but they shouldn't make claims of pending offer if there isn't one - that's just a cruel joke.
