I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at TJ Maxx (Tustin, CA) in Sept 2014
Interview
The interview process was very simple. They take you to the backroom and sit you down with an Assistant manager first, then a second round with the Store Manager. It took me many attempts by visiting the store to make sure my application went through to them before receiving a call-back. When the interview came around, the overall questions asked were very generic.
It was quick and easy. Very straight forward, but thorough. It was in person and I got a call the next day that i was hired. This was three years ago so it might be different now.
The interview consisted of A brief Phone screen followed by an in person interview that lasted about 30 minutes. Questions were relayed to experience from last jobs and responding to customer service scenarios.
