Question 1
Biggest mistake or failure made at your current job and then your biggest accomplishment
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at TEAM Risk Management Strategies (San Diego, CA) in Jan 2025
Interview
I was reached out to on LinkedIn by a recruiter. I did a quick screening call with the recruiting third party company. I was then invited to a second round with the hiring managers. This was general questions. I made it to a in person third deep dive in office interview where they ask extremely personal questions (very strange). They asked me what the hardest thing I had ever gone through was. Honestly felt like therapy instead of an interview. I was happy that they asked me to move to a next round which was a long case study. I completed that thinking they would make a decision but was invited to a last in person interview (which they neglected to tell me it was in person until the day of) where I was interviewed by 4 more individuals. I was excited about the opportunity but looking back the process was way too long and tedious.

Question 1
What is the hardest thing you have ever experienced in your life?

Interview
I went through a recruiter screen, an interview with the potential direct manager, completed a project, and the next step would have been onsite interviews. I spent a considerable amount of time on the project —around 9-10 hours—only to receive a text message from the recruiter stating that they weren’t moving forward. What was particularly disappointing was the lack of direct feedback on both my project and interviews, especially after investing so much time, effort, and energy into the project. This lack of consideration is a red flag in my opinion.
