      Sales Trainee Interview

      22 Feb 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Sysco in Feb 2016

      Interview

Had a phone interview in late December. Heard nothing back from them despite my weekly attempts to follow up. Then about a month and a half later I got a call back for a second interview with a 5 person panel. Basic behavioral questions "what would/did you do when...." Be prepared to expand upon your answers. Even if you give a 5 minute explanation in your answer, they might ask you an even more in depth question in response to what you said. Be prepared to sell something. I was told to sell them a cup. Make sure to listen to what they are saying, because they will ask you what they said. They made it seem like I wasn't going to get the job because of my lack of experience and said I would hear back in two weeks. Two days later I was extended an offer.
