      Customer Account Specialist Interview

      4 Jun 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Boise, ID
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Syngenta (Boise, ID) in May 2026

      Interview

Interviewed for the Customer Account Specialist role in Boise and came away disappointed with the overall candidate experience. The process started with what was supposed to be a virtual interview. Unfortunately, Talent Acquisition sent two different meeting invitations, which resulted in confusion about which room I was supposed to join. I was left sitting alone in a virtual meeting room and initially thought I had been ghosted. It ultimately took me reaching out myself to get the correct interview link, and by that point I was already about 10 minutes into what should have been the interview. It wasn't a great first impression. Once the interview started, I was surprised to find it was a panel interview, something that had not been communicated beforehand. The discussion felt largely unstructured, with interviewers asking questions without much flow or consistency. The overall energy felt disengaged, and it was difficult to get a sense of the team or role. Despite that, I apparently performed well enough to be invited back for a final in-person interview. The experience was unusual. After arriving at the Boise office and waiting in a conference room, I was taken to lunch by two interviewers. While I understand companies use lunch interviews as part of the process, trying to answer interview questions while actively eating made for an awkward dynamic. I also felt somewhat out of place during the conversation, and the overall interaction became noticeably less positive midway through the meal. The most disappointing part was the lack of follow-up. After investing significant time in multiple interview rounds, I never received any meaningful feedback or communication regarding the outcome. Thankfully, I already had another offer on the table and ultimately accepted a position elsewhere. While I appreciate the opportunity and the complimentary lunch, the interview process felt disorganized, poorly communicated, and not particularly respectful of a candidate's time.
