I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Symetra
Interview
The process was very smooth. I had my first interview with the recruiter and was offered a second interview a couple of days later. The second interview was with 4 managers. Questions were STAR method questions. I received a call from the recruiter with a job offer the next day. The total process from first interview to offer took about 4 days. Very smooth and positive experience

I applied online. I interviewed at Symetra in Apr 2025
Interview
Interview was over Teams. It was two regional managers and another person (might be a regional manager or another manager that overseas all the underwriters in his area). They were friendly enough. Only thing I didn't like was that the company didn't follow up on their hiring process. They just ghosted me after saying they will notify all candidates of their status in one week's time after completing all interviews, regardless if they've been accepted or rejected. That's just unprofessional and shady. It doesn't take a lot to press a button and mass email everyone if they didn't get the job. Other than that, the interview was fine and expected. Questions are asked so that responses can be given in a STAR format.
