A first interview with HR, then I had a coding test and later a technical interview covering my knowledge and what I did in the test.
I got the interview through a referral from a friend of mine that works at the Stockholm office. I got approved and received an offer, I live abroad so the company would have to sponsor my visa. The first thing that I didn't like is how even though they will "sponsor" your visa, I had to pay for everything!
The company basically just signed the documents with the immigration authority in Sweden saying that they agreed to bring me, but I was supposed to pay for all visa documents and also pay for my travel ticket.
But this is still not the worst part...
A couple of weeks after I got this job offer I quit my job in home country and I waited for my visa to granted. My visa was granted so I was ready to move to Sweden and start working there, but the company asked to wait. They didn't give me any reason... just asked to wait.
After some weeks waiting I got an e-mail from the company saying that they were removing my job offer. Apparently the company didn't have any projects anymore and they decided to cancel all reallocations! So I basically lost the job offer, I lost the money that I spent with my visa and also with the travel tickets and I also lost my job in my home country!
This company almost destroyed my life. If you like your career and mental health, please stay way from this company.
