I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Susquehanna International Group
Interview
First and HR screening: why do you want to work in finance, describe your past experiences, what programming language do you normally use, when can you start. Amusingly, I was asked about my PhD program because the recruiter was "unfamiliar" with it (which it seems basically means not MIT/Caltech/Stanford/etc).
Immediately after the screening, scheduled a phone interview with a lecturer at Temple. Interview was just basic probability questions (normal approximation to binomial, 3 sigma intervals, the marble question and the probability of equal number of heads questions people mentioned here). I was a little careless and make some arithmetic mistakes (no calculator allowed)-- which is on me, but the interviewer was getting annoyed and told me "you seems like you used probability a little but don't know it too well" (I literally wrote a thesis in probability theory but ok). Next day got a rejection email.

Question 1
You and I throw a coin 3 times. What is the probability that we get the same number of heads
I interviewed at Susquehanna International Group (Philadelphia, PA)
Interview
The first hurdle in SIG’s interview process is an online assessment administered through Mercer | Mettl. It tests knowledge in mathematics, probability, and statistics. The assessment combines puzzles and probability questions, along with topics like expected value, combinatorics, and logic. Overall, it follows the standard quant interview format — probability and statistics are the most critical areas to master before sitting the test.
An online math test testing topics such as probability theory, basic logics and word problems that you need to do in a relatively short time. I was not invited for further interviews
General question such as background and motivation then 2-3 math questions based on probability and expected value. Difficult than OA. But overall, it is managable if you have done a proper review.
