I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at SurgeU (Palmetto, FL)
Interview
A video interview. Started off cordial. Asked about what you would do to effectively defuse criticism about issues with attendee expectations in contrast with the value being offered. When asked when the company was looking to hire someone (and another company I interviewed reacted this way too), the interviewer suddenly got defensive, as if he thought I was trying to hire myself when I was instead gauging how soon I'd be expected to start if an offer was made. This was a turn off for him it seemed. They quickly disengaged emotionally and the interview ended.

Question 1
What you would do to effectively defuse criticism about issues with attendee expectations in contrast with the value being offered?
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SurgeU (Sarasota, FL) in Jul 2025
Interview
Phone call with recruiter from company, then zoom with vice president, in person with vp and coo. First round of interview had too much time between the other. Over 2 weeks.

Question 1
Why do you want to work with us, and how would we benefit with you being at lifesurge.
Submit resume, HR phone screen, video interview and then onsite. I wouldn't classify any of the conversations as hard. They don't really seem to have a process or direction but I'm assuming in the line of business here that might be an advantage. The interviewer seemed to love hearing themselves talk so there was no "interview". Learn their business model and square your conscience for any of the interviews.
