I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Surface Design Group (New York, NY) in Nov 2024
Interview
After the interview, I was asked to send some drawings, an essay sample, and other materials. They also requested that I share some confidential data, which I had to refuse multiple times. I spent over six hours compiling the information that I was allowed to share and, in the end, was ghosted by them. The lack of professionalism I encountered was very disappointing.

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Surface Design Group in Feb 2023
Interview
It was a non-technical interview even though I was hoping for the interview to be extremely technical since the firm focuses on detailing in facades and facade engineering. My goals were questioned. And I was definitely slightly unprepared as it was an entry level role, and there are many moving parts in the career that I cannot foresee even if I wanted to. But it made me think a lot about how I should project my ambitions to a company. The company mentioned they are only looking for long term commitments. In the end the offer was quite open ended as he said that he might need someone for June and would like me to contact him then.
