      Junior Frontend Developer Interview

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Superleap (Bengaluru) in Aug 2025

      Interview

Been giving interviews for past 2 months and recently had an in-person interview at Superleap. Three back to back rounds in single day which was quite intense. What surprised me most was they didn't ask any DSA questions at all - instead focused on real world problems and practical scenarios. Initially felt unprepared since I've been grinding leetcode for months, but honestly it was an eye opener about what industry actually needs. The interview was tough and exposed gaps in my practical knowledge that I didn't even know existed, but it pushed me to think beyond textbook solutions which was good learning. Office is small, not fancy at all but the vibe was positive. While waiting for 3rd round (took a while), could observe team discussing openly near waiting area - everyone seemed genuinely engaged and I felt like joining their conversation but had to focus on interview. Didn't get the offer but walked away impresed with their approach and team culture. If your looking for standard interview experience this isn't it, but if you want to be challenged in ways that actually matter for career growth, Superleap delivers. Just be prepared to hustle and learn.

      Question 1

We have a web application where users can upload multiple files simultaneously. Sometimes users accidentally click the upload button multiple times, causing duplicate API calls. How would you prevent this without disabling the button completely, and what are the potential issues you might face with your solution? Then they asked me to actually code a solution and explain my thought process. They were more interested in how I approached the problem - considering user experience, edge cases, and potential race conditions - rather than just writing code. Made me think about real scenarios developers actually face instead of just algorithmic puzzles.
