      Store Supervisor Interview

      9 Dec 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Sue Ryder in Dec 2025

      Interview

I was interviewed by the area manager and store manager. They had a set list of questions to read from and the interview took about 40 mins. The questions all relate to your experience for each requirement for the job. As one person was typing up answers you do feel the need to keep your answers short and to the point as I was asked to pause a number of times for them to catch up. I did feel this stifled my answers and the flow of the interview quite a bit. I also found the rigidity of the set question list meant that there was no opportunity for me to explain what I felt I could bring individually to the role. Overall the interview was not unpleasant, the people were nice enough, I just don’t feel the interview set up allows people to present themselves to the best of their abilities. I was told at the interview a rough date of when I could expect to hear by but I heard nothing at all. Not even a standard rejection email which I feel is bare minimum for a candidate that has taken time to prepare and attend an interview and reflects quite poorly on the company.

They asked for an example of a time I gave great customer service.
