I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Success Academy Charter Schools (New York, NY) in Feb 2024
Interview
First was a one-on-one Zoom interview. The recruiter was professional, and the questions were concise and to the point. I got to ask them questions back at the end.
Second was a video interview through the Wepow website. I was given two separate questions with 60s to think of a response each time and 2-5 minutes of recording time to answer (no retakes). The first question was broad and asked me to "tell a compelling story about [myself]." The second question gave me a quote: "measure twice, cut once." I needed to interpret the quote and explain how I would teach it to my students
Immediately after the interview, I had to fill out two short answer written tasks with a ~300 character and 10 min time limit each. The first question asked how I would handle criticism from my manager regarding my punctuality. The second task made me give myself feedback on the Zoom interview.
So far so good. However, the recruiters seem disorganized. I received several emails mistakenly prompting me to schedule a meeting which had already been scheduled or to do a video interview which I had already done. Initially I thought this was another step in the process, but upon following the instructions in the email, I realized the questions were identical to the ones from my previous interview. I contacted my recruiter for clarification only to be ghosted in the end. This is despite explicitly being told to reach out with any questions.
Overall very confusing process with little human interaction or updates on where I currently stood with my application.
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
What are 3 qualities your friends would describe you with, and what do they mean to you?
A lot about willingness to discipline, how you grew up, adaptability, etc. Also stuff on what my educational experience was like (strict or not strict)? Also mock roleplay about disciplining a kid

I received a random message on LinkedIn from a recruiter. We had a call where they went over interview prep and scheduled the meeting. They asked pretty standard questions. Teaching experience, why teaching and why this specific academy, a time where you dealt with a difficult situation or person, how do you take constructive criticism then a simulated situation where they give you a scenario about ‘difficult’ parents and kids.
Not bad just a interview with normal amount of questions, I'm not the one who work as teacher that I came from EE background but they give me the interview
