I applied online. I interviewed at Studio AR&D Architects
Interview
Multiple- interview process. Sometimes 2 or 3. AutoCAD test on the second one. Interviewer (owner) was intimidating and is good at reading people. Have to attend to detail (both in design and in how you show up). These are just a few things I noticed what mattered particularly at this firm.

Question 1
Other than architecture what do you like to do during your free time?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Studio AR&D Architects (Los Angeles, CA) in Feb 2024
Interview
I had an interview with the firm's owner, Sean, and it was by far one of the most unpleasant experiences I've had in a long time. Despite having interviewed elsewhere recently, this encounter was definitely the worst in my career. Sean's demeanor was consistently condescending throughout the interview. He repeatedly interrupted me as I responded to his questions, spoke to me as if I were a child, and criticized every response I gave. It was incredibly challenging to keep my composure, stay professional and not walk out the door. Despite having seen negative reviews about the firm, I saw they had responded that there have been positive changes to the management, but it appears not. I regret not listening to the warnings and wasting my time enduring 45 minutes of belittlement. I strongly advise against applying to this firm. If Sean treated a stranger with such disrespect, I can only imagine how unprofessional he might be with his employees. Save yourself the trouble and seek opportunities elsewhere.
If you need more proof, look at the Glassdoor reviews. There are several negative 1-star comments and the positive reviews all happen in the same month if not the same day in what I assume is an attempt to salvage their reputation.
