Interview

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Stryker in Jul 2024
Interview
This was the most grueling interview process I've ever experienced, especially for a mediocre role within the organization. I first interviewed mid-July with the recruiter and quickly after that the hiring manager. Before getting moved to the next step I had to complete a 2-hour interview with Gallup and answer over 150 questions. That apparently was enough to move me to the director for the next step. Once I finished those 4 interviews it was weeks before I got any next steps. Finally, I heard that I had made the cut and was moving to another step. I was informed I had 4 (!!) more interviews to complete, one of which included the manager and director I had already met, plus an additional 3 new people. For this interview I had to prepare a 20-minute presentation for them. Following this interview, each "new" executive I met wanted a 30-minute individual interview. I took a WHOLE DAY off of work to complete this nonsense, not to mention the time it took to prepare the presentation, and the 4 additional interviews I had completed prior to this. I was told following interviews 5-8 that I would hear within a week. It's now been nearly 3 weeks since the final interviews and I have yet to be contacted by the recruiter or hiring manager despite phone calls and e-mails requesting ANY follow up. After all that work, to be ghosted, is entirely unprofessional for a company that boasts about how great their culture is. I'm debating sending them an invoice for the 8 (!!) interviews I completed and my time to prepare the presentation they requested.

Interview
VERY long. Many many interviews & test over 2 months. A lot of work for the candidate. Then ghosted. Not the most rewarding of experiences. Communication is key, but many companies just don't bother communicating even if the candidate has completed a lot of work within the process.

Interview
I recently interviewed for Stryker that promised exciting challenges and opportunities for growth. Unfortunately, the reality of the interview process was far from that. Despite listing several impressive qualifications on my resume, I was assigned a series of mundane tasks that any high school student could have completed. These tasks had nothing to do with the position I had applied for, and did not allow me to showcase my skills or experience. To make matters worse, after completing the tasks, I was told that I was overqualified for the position and would not be considered for the role. I was very disappointed after putting in the time and effort to prepare for the interview, only to be met with disappointment and frustration. Overall, my experience with this company left me feeling undervalued and disrespected. I would not recommend wasting your time with an interview that is not going to properly assess your skills and experience, and ultimately lead to a fulfilling career opportunity.
