Interview
My experience interviewing for the Territory Sales Manager role at Straumann was disappointing.
I initially received a call from a recruiter to discuss the role. While the conversation covered the position, no information was provided about the interview process or what to expect in the next stages.
The emails I received during the process also contained several spelling and grammatical errors. For a company of Straumann's size and reputation, I found this surprising and initially questioned whether the emails were genuine.
A few days later, I received an automated email inviting me to book my next interview. I then interviewed with the National Manager and a member of the HR team. At the end of the interview, I was told they would discuss the candidates over the weekend and that I would hear back by Tuesday at the latest.
Unfortunately, I never received any follow-up—not even a rejection email. I sent a polite thank-you message after the interview expressing my appreciation for their time, but I received no response.
I found this level of communication to be unprofessional and disrespectful. Candidates invest significant time preparing for interviews and deserve the courtesy of a response, especially when a clear timeline has been given.
Prior to applying, I had heard negative comments from others about Straumann's company culture. While I can't speak for the organisation as a whole, my interview experience unfortunately reinforced those concerns. I felt that enthusiasm and positivity were not welcomed, and the dismissive attitude I experienced from the National Manager left a poor impression. Overall, the process lacked professionalism and basic candidate respect.

Interview
3 fold interview process. Informal telephone interview then I believe face to face and then maybe presentations. The first line interviews are with the hiring manager and us quite an informal getting to know you session

Interview
I applied and was contacted within a couple days by a recruiter. We talked for about 20-30 minutes. About 2 weeks later I had an in-person interview at a hotel with a sales manager. That interview lasted about 45 minutes. He asked a lot of typical sales interview questions but one thing that stuck out was how much he complained about sales reps that currently worked for him or did so in the past.
I was told that he would let me know about the position but I never heard back from him or the recruiter. I find this to be incredibly unprofessional as even an email is acceptable.
