The whole process took over 5 weeks, including a period where I heard nothing for over a week after an interview and had to chase it up. Admittedly, the situation was affected by summer holidays but they still apologised and admitted it wasn't up to their standards. In total I was made to do 5 interviews and a test. One of these interviews had to happen twice since the code reviewer received the wrong work. Was likely to have another interview as well if not rejected. I was rejected after having an interview with a potential mentor. I was told that my communication/soft skills were not up to par for remote working. I respect the opinion, but going through 5 interviews to achieve this result feels like a waste of time for both parties.
