Run. Ain't worth it. Weeks went by in between every step of the process. I forgot I'd even applied. The HR person was rude, abrupt, had no additional information about the role and starting hassling me about the rate/salary from the start. As others have mentioned, they asked not for a writing sample but a complete and timely project after I'd already had the interview with the hiring manager and they'd seen another writing sample. I waited and waited to get the request, which they finally sent over right before a holiday. Strangely, it was linked to news of the day. When I said I had a commitment and asked for an extension, they said it was fine. I handed in the assignment when I said I would and never heard back. I reached out to both the hiring manager and the HR person who both never responded. I'd heard this company is a mess, and this experience hit every beat I'd heard mentioned and more.
