They have you prepare a Pinterest board of 5 pieces for an imaginary client. Be prepared to explain why you chose each piece- Mention things like the climate where the client lives, their body type, their job/lifestyle. When you get to the interview, they have you write a note to the imaginary client. Make sure to write how to style each piece, and when choosing the items, keep in mind that Stitch Fix likes to send multiple pieces that can be worn together (ie. shirt+pants/skirt or shirt+cardigan). There are tons of examples of these notes on Google Images... Try to write the note the same way the examples do. Once the actual interview begins, they explain the position (pay, hours, training, etc.), and then they have you style three pieces in person. They'll ask you to categorize each piece into a style type (these can be found on Stitch Fix's Pinterest account- there is a different board for each style, they're definitely worth reviewing!!). They'll also ask what kind of person you would send each piece to (with things like body type, lifestyle, and age in mind). It's not difficult, but a little scary to think on your feet about pieces you've never seen before... I'd recommend doing some "studying" about styling body types, because they may ask who you *wouldn't* send something to. That was basically the entire interview, and if you have a general sense of style and fashion, you'll do just fine! The interview feels super short, and there aren't necessarily tons of opportunities to "stand out", so make sure to make an awesome first impression by smiling, making eye contact, and being a friendly interviewee!!
