Interview
All pre interview communication is done via email. After they confirm they are interested in interviewing you in person, the wait period for the in person interview can be long so you need to be ok with that. My wait time was almost 5 months. After they schedule the in person interview, the process is quick. You are asked to create a secret Pinterest board & style a hypothetical client pre interview. You present this in the actual interview along with a note to the hypothetical client. The note, they ask you to write on the spot, so be prepared. They have pre selected items of clothing that they ask you to style live. They give you multiple scenarios & hypothetical clients to style with just those pieces. With the items they have selected, be prepared to know & explain what body types & style categories they best fit/fall into. I felt like most of the questions asked were typical interview questions & if you have any prior fashion or creative job experience, they were fairly easy to answer. The experience I had was great. The two girls who interviewed me were very friendly & enthusiastic.

Question 1
Tell us about a time a client was unhappy with a service you provided? Explain.
Tell us about a time you gave great service? Explain.
Why Stitch Fix?
There were a lot of questions on how you would style someone of a certain age, in a specific situation, if you had limited inventory but you had clients w/varied tastes & body types/ages to style, someone who you felt certain items wouldn't be a good fit but they wanted those items anyway, etc
Took a while to receive an invitation to interview, but once someone reached out it was a very easy process. They were straightforward about the interview process, accommodating, and very friendly. We emailed to set a date and time for a Zoom interview and I was told what to expect from the interview beforehand and that's exactly how the process went.

Question 1
They are upfront and tell you to research the STAR method. The question I remember most is one that asked about a previous difficult situation with a coworker and how I handled it.
They make you do an online styling assignment and then a 45-minute zoom interview with a styling lead. We went over the assignment and asked questions about my experience and background.
Very personal and straightforward! I felt heard and like they genuinely were interested in what I had to say. Process moved fairly quickly. Had a great interviewer who made me feel very comfortable
