I applied online. I interviewed at State of Nevada
Interview
Applied for both Women's Correctional and Governors Office, was offered the position. Interview with Correctional was 10 questions, mostly asking about admin tasks, how you deal with mutliple responsibilites, and working with the team. Relatively, the same questions were asked by the Governor's office. The only difference was that the GOV Office had an online interview and in person interview along with a organizational rest (excel sheet, how you would reply to an email). For the Correctional facility I was offered the position 10 business days after my interview and the Governor's office, I was offered the job on the spot after my second interview. Overall, just know how to do administrative tasks and how to handle responsibilites.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at State of Nevada (Las Vegas, NV) in Mar 2026
Interview
Applied online, got a response within 2 months, had to get a typing certificate prior to interview date. Came in was given a super simple math test: addition, subtraction, average. Then was given a panel interview in front of 3 people who asked questions one at a time. Seems like content of answers was more important than delivery of response. Interviewers typed the entire time in unison, very distracting and they will not keep eye contact while you answer. But they warn you at the beginning of the interview. Questions were straight forward. Why do you want to work for Nevada? Do you know about our programs? What would you do if you did not understand a policy? Name a time you helped someone find a social service.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at State of Nevada (Carson City, NV) in Sept 2022
Interview
Initial online screening on one day, after that a written test with a set of questions and a final panel interview on the same day. Got the call back in 4 days with my offer letter
