Interview questions [1]
Question 1
My salary expectations, which was market average, and their offer was lower
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at State Street (Kraków) in Jun 2014
Interview
The first interview was a phone interview with HR administrator from India on basic things like what is a fund, derivative etc.
After that I've received invitation for a second interview.
The second interview was with two managers at the office. The questions were more tricky and included technical questions + soft skills questions. The managers were very nice but demanded very broad financial knowledge. In particular, they asked about financial instruments - and required intuition, practical knowledge and common sense rather than definitions from textbook. Therefore, the interview might be difficult for a fresh graduate without any experience with working with or trading derivatives.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at State Street in Sept 2022
Interview
The first phase consisted of a phone call with a person from India - the sound quality was poor which made the conversation rather unpleasant. Then there was an actual interview with 2 managers - long but a positive discussion with typical questions about educational background, previous experience, and methods of dealing with difficult situations, but also more technical aspects regarding types of financial instruments, securities valuation, and risk metrics (mostly VaR).
