I applied online. I interviewed at Starbucks in May 2026
Interview
Super easy. Applied online. A recruiter reached out for initial interview, was about 15-30 minutes. Recruiter set up second interview with DM and peer DM for the following week. After that, was interviewed by the regional.
Recruiter for the area you live in (in my case Los Angeles) sent these 2 links via e-mail:
-Phone interview scheduling calendar (Schedule date and time you're available)
-Virtual Job Tryout (1 hour long, have calculator if needed (basic math) for P&L statement
I had 2 phone interviews the first wanted to know:
-About you, any accomplishments, Why you want to work at Starbucks and what you know about the company
Second interview: (have questions ready! He asked me twice if I had any questions for him)
-STAR questions
1.) Give a specific example of a customer confrontation. What did you do to handle the situation, and what was the end result.
2.) Tell me about a time you had a partner or team member that had a performance issue. What was the situation and what did you achieve?
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a financial accomplishment, be specific, and what strategic steps did you take to achieve this goal.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Starbucks (Chicago, IL) in Apr 2026
Interview
Two district sanagers interviewing over Microsoft Teams. Extensive, heavy "STAR" use required in questions with follow up questions from interviewers. 5 questions for me but our interview went nearly an hour, overall friendly.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Starbucks (Concord, CA)
Interview
You first have a screen with the recruiter, and she sets up time to speak with you. If you pass that, you get sent to the DM and interview with that DM and another DM and then usually decision after that.
