I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Starbucks (Norwalk, CT) in Mar 2015
Interview
Easy. They asked the expected questions. It is a great job. They want responsible individuals. It is best to start out as a barista. Then you can learn the ropes. The company always prefers to hire from within. It is very easy to move up once you get started. You basically run the shift, give breaks, watch the safe, open and close the store, keep track of inventory. They want people who are friendly, never rude, upbeat, young, ambitious, and love teaching people about coffee.

Interviewed by the store manager and regional managers, mostly situational questions, about 30 minutes total talk and at the end asked you your availability to work, and if you have any questions for them.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Starbucks (Edmonton, AB) in Mar 2025
Interview
Interview process is great and respectable. They ask questions about yourself as much as your work life. They insure that their teams are top tier. They insure that everyone has an equal chance and opportunity.

Question 1
They had asked how I am under pressure, since during rush times a cool mind is important.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Starbucks (Glen Mills, PA) in Sept 2024
Interview
It was an easy interview to do. A lot of customer service facing questions. For the amount of time on your feet and dealing with high volume, I was not impressed with how much they offer for pay.
